Transcarpathian Semen Deyak sailed to the Atlantic on a rowing boat

Yesterday, the first day of the international project involving the famous explorer Semen Deyak and his namesake from the UK Simon Chok started.

Semen Deyak is a native of the village of Onok in Vynogradiv district, after the military career, he has been living in Krasnoyarsk. The avid traveler and true patriot of Transcarpathia was the first to raise the flag with the arms of Vynogradiv at the North Pole. Now, the rowing boat, in which the travelers will sail across the Atlantic, has the historical name of Vynogradiv – Sevliush.

The crew expects to cross the Atlantic in 45 days and finish on the island of Barbados. The length of the route is 2800 nm.
