Yesterday, on March 14, rescuers received a report that, while working in his garden on Sadova street in the village of Nevytske in Uzhgorod district, a man had found an object looking like an explosive.
At the scene, specialists of the bomb squad identified the metal object as a 152 mm artillery shell of the Second World War period. The old piece of ammunition was removed and destroyed in a specially designated place.
The State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region once again appeals to the citizens: if you find an explosive, immediately report about it by calling "101" or "102".
It is strictly forbidden to touch it, move it, pour liquid or dirt on it. Avoid any sound, light, thermal or mechanical impact on an explosive object, since practically all explosives are sensitive to such impacts.
