Transcarpathian police began an investigation into an accident, which resulted in the death of a motorcyclist

In the village of Bohdan, Rakhiv district, a 24-year-old man suffered fatal bodily injuries as a result of a motorcycle crash. The police launched criminal proceeding over this incident.

Last night, at about 2 o’clock, the Rakhiv police station received from the district hospital a report about the death of a young man, who had been delivered by an ambulance after an accident. The victim was a 24-year-old resident of the village of Bohdan in Rakhiv district.

As the investigation team found out, about one o’clock in the morning, the young man was riding an unregistered motorcycle with an engine volume of 250 cubic meters, lost control and ran into a stone fence near the village council. The victim died of injuries in an ambulance vehicle on the way to the hospital.

The police opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of traffic safety rules, which caused the death of the victim). The circumstances of the night tragedy in the village of Bohdan are being investigated by the police.
