Transcarpathian medical emergency care are the winners of All-Ukrainian competitions

All-Ukrainian competitions of medical emergency care teams with international participants took place in Cherkasy region, Olena Sukhanova wrote on her Facebook page. 40 medic, paramedic, student, veteran and foreign crews took part in the "Cherkasy medical rally – 2018". During three days, the medics were rehearsing real life clinical cases, actions in emergency situations and incidents involving mass casualties.   
 Particular attention was paid to interactions within the system, as well as with the police and rescue service. Drivers were competing on a difficult route. And each emergency medical aid crew showed their knowledge in compliance with the protocols for medical care in urgent conditions. In total, all 40 crews completed 14 tasks. The judges were experts in emergency and military medicine from Ukraine, Lithuania, the USA, Canada and Israel.
 Transcarpathia was represented by a crew headed by doctor of emergency medicine Serhiy Bodnar, intern Eduard Horzov, paramedic – Mykola Hlyvchak and driver – Attila Chukha. The Transcarpathian ambulance driver won the first gold award in the competition. Thus, the foundation for further victories was laid… The result was the first place in the competition, the cup and the flag that the Transcarpathian team brought home. 
 Traditionally, next year the competition will take in the region whose team won this year. And so, the best specialists from all over the country will gather in Transcarpathia to participate in the medical competition "Transcarpathian medical rally".
