The Deputy Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Volodymyr Prikhodko met the Chairman of the Association of Pest Agricultural Producers (Hungarian Republic), Dr. Pal Djovoi. At the end of the meeting an agreement between the Association of Farmers and Private Landowners of Transcarpathian region and the Association of Hungarian Agricultural Producers of the Hungarian area of Pest on the main directions of cooperation between two countries as to the development of agriculture was signed.
During the meeting the sides discussed the state and prospects of the regional agro-industrial complex development and the priority areas of cooperation with representatives of the agro-business in Hungary.
In addition, there was a joint meeting with the heads of structural departments of regional state administration, regional management of central executive bodies, the Association of Farmers and Private Landowners of Transcarpathian region with the Association of Agricultural Producers of Pest (Hungarian Republic) on cooperation between organizations and agricultural enterprises of Transcarpathia and Hungary. The Deputy Head of General Directorate of agricultural development at Regional State Administration V.Terelya gave general characteristics of modern agro-industrial complex of the region and noted that the region has every opportunity to improve in this area.
"The meeting participants noted that development of agriculture is a priority for both the state and the region in particular. That is why it is particularly important to have such joint workshops in terms of establishing links between the neighboring countries", – said Vladimir Prikhodko.
