The chief prosecutor of Transcarpathia told reporters that the office monitors threats of separatism in social networks and the media.
Facebook is also under scrutiny – Volodymyr Yanko said.
Statements and calls in publications and profiles are reviewed by prosecutors and those containing potential threat of separatism will be dealt with accordingly – the prosecutor of Transcarpathia promises.
However, so far there have been no such cases, though, although reports come every day: "Currently, we have no new criminal proceedings on the matter. I hope that our people like Transcarpathia and will not give rise to controversies." Noting this, Yanko also said: "There are no criminal proceedings on separatism in the region. There were reports, but they are not sufficient to initiate proceedings. These cases are dealt with by preventive measures. At present, there is no threat."
Well, it seems, public figures and journalists should help the prosecutor’s office with such supervision, because there are still pages and profiles on the Internet that spread active propaganda of Transcarpathian separatism and whose moderators deserve the attention of the Security Service of Ukraine and the prosecutor’s office.
