32 teachers-naturalists from Pidkarpatska province of the Polish Republic visited Uzhanskyi National Park. Our neighbors studied the Transcarpathian region with great interest, trying to get to know its nature, education and culture during two days.
At first Polish group, led by Deputy Director the Park ‘Beshchady’ Tomash Vinnitskyi, climbed on the top of the mountain of Cheremkha accompanied by Uzhanskyi National Park workers Inna Kvakovska and Oleg Horbei. Despite the incredible heat, guests with interest studied the rich flora and recorded minor differences with Beshchady.
The apogee of the Polish teachers staying became the evening meeting in the conference hall of the hotel complex ‘Krasiya’. It is interesting that each spoke in their native language, and it did not become the communication barrier (only a few terms they have to clarify). Rich in content were presentation of a specialist in environmental education ‘Beshchady’ Beata Shar on the studying students the nature subject, a Director of Zabrid School I-II degrees Vasylyna Babinets and a biology teacher of the village of Velykyj Bereznyj boarding school Vasyl Kanyuk. Vasyl Yuriyovych is very good biologist that is why all those present were interested to become acquainted with methods of teaching science, extracurricular activity and interesting examples from the foreign journeys. He also pleasantly surprised the Polish colleagues by his musical and dancing talent: by excellent play on the accordion and performance of Ukrainian and Transcarpathian songs which were supported by the whole audience. They also learned steps of rakivchanka, vyvyvanka, karichka, bereznianka and other dances.
Polish people have completed their staying on the Silver earth by getting acquainted with Uzhgorod, visiting historical sites, especially the old castle.
