At the end of June, the BÜKKVINFEST – Wine Festival of Bukkalja and the International Wine Contest were organized for the 26th time in Bogacs (Hungary), the Hungarian publication BoresPiac informed. 239 samples took part in the international wine contest, which was rated by 8 judges. Among the judges, there were many well-known wine experts. The main patron of the event was Tallaj Andras, the State Secretary of the Parliament, the Deputy Minister of Finance. The Ukrainian wine-making complex Chateau Chizay became an unexpected surprise. Thanks to its 8 samples, the complex won 1 Grand Prix and 6 Gold Award, thus becoming the most successful winemaker at the wine contest. The Chateau Chizay Wine Complex is located in Beregovo. On its own property in area of 272 hectares, they cultivate 70 hectares of land along the Verkhnya Tisa in Beregovo, 121 – in Midianytsia, 81 – in Zavydovo. Among their samples of 2017, the jury awarded the Grand Prix to the Tramini, while the rose wine Cabernet-Merlot, Furmint, Chersegi, Muskotály, rosé wine Troyanda, Cagor won Gold Awards.
