In Transcarpathia a bus driver has beaten and pushed out of the bus a boy with visual impairments. The incident occurred right in middle of the road when the bus stopped at a red traffic light.
The passenger says that the fight started because of the privileged identity and the request to stop the transport when the driver had changed the route. Instead the driver has a different version: he had just made a stop, and the young man demanded another one. After the driver’s remark he began to threaten and curse. So the driver had to force the passenger out of the bus. The police did not find the offense in the incident and the victim have been twice refused to initiate criminal proceedings. There are no witnesses of the fight, and each party tells their own version, so it is difficult to determine the truth.
The police advised the victim to file a civil action against the driver and independently seek justice in court. The lawyer of the victim, said that the driver still broke the law, and that the prospects for a case are good. The actions of the driver constituted a criminal offense. Although the medical examination diagnosed minor injuries, they are subject to the article of the Criminal Code on hooliganism.
