In December, the leading musical collective of Transcarpathia, Academic Chamber Choir "Cantus" will turn 25.
In 1992, the collective, which has already gained a positive experience of concert activity and participation in prestigious musical contests not only in Ukraine but also abroad (Hungary, Italy), was granted the status of "professional" – and this event is considered to be the official establishment of the leading musical collective of Transcarpathia. The collective of 28 participants was led by brothers Emil and Stanislav Sokach – artistic director and director respectively.
The repertoire of the choir includes Ukrainian folk songs, carols, spiritual music of Ukrainian composers, world classical music from the Renaissance to the present, and jazz compositions. Each performance of the choir "Cantus" is a real holiday, which is created by a combination of refined musical taste with deep interpretation and perfect execution. The choir presented many original concert programs in the atrium of the Regional State Administration and Regional Council buildings ("Bach in the Krupka building", "Mass" by I.Marton, "Dark and light night of the soul", etc.).
So, on December 9, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary, the collective will once again invite its fans to the atrium, where they will perform selected works from their own repertoire and fragments of the "Christmas Oratorio" by Bach, accompanied by the instrumental ensemble "A Cappella Leopolis" (Lviv).
The beginning is at 18.00. Tickets are required.
