Transcarpathia: representatives of the “Strong Ukraine” say – information about the party is not campaigning but a reminder

As has been reported, billboards of Serhiy Tihipko without background information were recorded in Transcarpathia. Mykhailo Popovich informed the observer of the OPORA that matters of outdoor advertising are managed centrally in Kyiv, not locally. He added that billboards without background information had appeared before the party officially became a participant of the electoral process. This outdoor advertising is not campaigning, but a reminder that the party has resumed its activity. 

Mykhailo Popovich also said the new billboards with information about the party already contained background information, they would be set up soon instead of the old ones.

Also, observers of the OPORA recorded many PR publications in the local press about the "Serhiy Tihipko’s party "Strong Ukraine". The pieces without appropriate tags contain elements of propaganda and plugola. 

To this, Mykhailo Popovich said that there is a category of people who are sympathetic to the "Strong Ukraine", therefore such publications about the party appear in newspapers. According to Mykhailo Popovich, such publications are published in the media not as advertising, and the staff of private papers publish them on their own discretion. The contents of the publications is not campaigning, but the information that the party has resumed its activity.
