Transcarpathia is one of the few regions, where there is a population growth

According to the Central Statistical Office of Transcarpathian region, as of October 1, 2016, the population of Transcarpathia totaled 1,259,500 people. From January to September, the population increased by 331 people. Transcarpathia is one of several regions of Ukraine, where population growth is consistently recorded.

Labor market

The number of registered unemployed in October decreased by 12.4% and at end of the month amounted to 428 people.

Salary

In September, the average nominal salary of one full-time worker was 4,646 hryvnias, which is 6.9% more than that in August. The size of the average wage was 3.2 times higher that the level set by the state social standard (1,450 hryvnias).

Agriculture

From January to October, the index of agricultural production compared with the corresponding period in 2015 amounted to 96.3%, including 95.1% at households, 118.4% at agricultural enterprises.

Industry

From January to October, the industrial production compared with the corresponding period in 2015 increased by 5.5%.

Construction

From January to October, enterprises and organizations of the region performed construction works at 460.1 million hryvnias. The index of construction products compared with ten months of the last year amounted to 105.4%.
