Transcarpathia is among the leaders in customs clearence of cars

As of the morning of February 11, 2019, the number of cars cleared by the Transcarpathian customs authorities was 10,452. As a result of customs clearance of those cars, more than UAH 654.2 million was paid to the budget. The average customs value of such cars is 3,600 U.S. dollars

Under the declarations of citizens who had been using vehicles with foreign registration in Ukraine, Transcarpathian Customs cleared 7,875 cars. Owners of these cars paid to the state budget more than UAH 28.3 million of voluntary fines. The average customs value of such cars is 2,100 U.S. dollars

Note that the grace period for the application of the excise tax rate (coefficient 0.5) for customs clearance of cars with foreign registration expires on February 22, 2019. After that, owners of such cars will have to pay the full rate of excise tax. Currently, this is provided by the current legislation.
