During March 30-31, 66 out of 74 fires registered in Transcarpathi, occurred in the ecosystems of the region. And three of them were recorded in the forests on the territory of Perechyn State Forestry.
On March 30, firefighters and foresters twice extinguished fires on the territory of the forestry. In the first case, one hectare of forest litter was destroyed in the Kuzlyachy Vershok tract in Perechyn. And the second fire occured outside the village of Simer. There, the fire destroyed 2 hectares of forest litter. On March 31, near the village of Turyi-Remety more than 4.5 hectares of forest litter burned down.
Fortunately, the rescuers together with the foresters managed to save the forests from possible destruction.
Currently, 621 fires in ecosystems have been registered in the region, including 4 in the forest areas. Fortunately all the fires were timely identified and quickly eliminated before they could cause big harm to nature.
