On Saturday, January 26, the XIІI International festival-competition of butchers "Disnotor" will be held in the village of Hecha in Beregovo district.
This year’s event will start in the early morning – from 7:00 to 14:00 the teams will be cooking national Hungarian pork dishes. At the same time, visitors will be able to taste and buy delicious meat dishes, as well as see the process of sausage making and smoking.
The program starts at 10:00, and the official opening is scheduled for 13:00.
The fair from local winemakers, producers of agricultural products and the cultural and entertainment program will continue until the late evening. The awarding of winners will start at 17:00.
The "Disnotor" Festival of Butchers is an opportunity to learn about the ancient Transcarpathian traditions related to rituals of pig killing, meat processing and cooking, which is one of the gastronomic highlights of multinational Transcarpathia.
