Near the former missile military base on the outskirts of the village of Velyka Byihan in Beregovo district, officers of the Security Service of Ukraine together with the police found a cache with components of the so-called active demining system that contain a significant amount of explosive.
68 engines of extended demining battery probably were stolen from the military unit when it was still active and are dangerous because of significant content of TNT.
Law enforcement officials together with experts of the regional office of the State Emergencies Service seized the explosive for further safe disposal, the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
