Tourist tax replenished budgets of Transcarpathia by 400,000 UAH

This amount of revenues to local budgets exceeds the last year’s figures by 62,000 UAH.

The largest amount of tourist tax has been paid in Svalyava (100,800 UAH), Uzhgorod (94,100 UAH) and Mizhhirrya districts (34,700 UAH). The rate of the tax is set by decisions of village, town and city councils in the amount of 0.5 – 1% of the accommodation price.

Recall that the tax is paid by citizens of Ukraine, foreigners and stateless persons who receive services for temporary accommodation in hotels, campgrounds, motels, etc.

The tourist tax is not paid by persons permanently living on the territory, those who came on a business trip, for treatment, rehabilitation, disabled, war veterans and other persons specified in Article 268 of the Tax Code of Ukraine.
