The Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment made a rating of high schools according to the results of idependent testing in Ukrainian language and literature, which was held in 2015.
The rating includes 723 Ukrainian high schools operating in the general secondary education system. The rating is based on the general rating of schools of Ukraine according to the results of the independent testing in Ukrainian language and literature taken by graduates.
The capital of Ukraine have the largest number of representatives in the top 200 high schools – 49, while Lviv region has 22, and Ivano-Frankivsk region has 11. Kyiv and Rivne regions have 10 representatives each.
Ukrainian gymnasium № 1 (Ivano-Frankivsk) takes the first place in the rating, Ukrainian Humanitarian Lyceum of the KNU (Kyiv) and the Lyceum "Intellect" (Kyiv) take the second and the third places.
Transcarpathian region is also in the top 200. Velyky Berezny gymnaseum on the 49th place ranks the highest. Uzhgorod Classical Gymnasium is on the 129th place, immediately followed by Mukachevo Lyceum (130). Also, Svalyava gymnasium takes the 146th place in the ranking, Khust boarding high school is on the 158th place, the Linguistic gymnasium named after Shevchenko in Uzhgorod is on the 189th place.
