Tonight, Uzhgorod citizens will be able to catch their star

They say that when you caught a glimpse of a shooting star you should make a wish.

Tonight from 21:00 on April 22 to 5:00 on April 23 (+/-), in Uzhgorod, you will be able to observe Lirids meteor shower that is visible in the night sky at the end of April and whose radiant is located in the Lyra constellation, which began this year on April 16 and will last until the April 25.

It is known that this year, the international meteorological organization predicts 15 to 20 meteors per hour, depending on the location of the observer.

The Lirids meteor shower is considered one of the oldest ones: the first mention of it is dated 687 BC. The name of the meteor shower is due to its close location to the Lyra constellation.

The next meteor shower, which inhabitants of the Earth will be able to observe, is Aquarids. It will take place from 28 to 30 of July.
