Today, in Uzhgorod, sewer wells, that have collapsed after colds, are being replaced (PHOTOS)

Today in the morning, employees of the Vodokanal began emergency repair works on water supply and sewage networks on Luchkay street in Uzhgorod.

As informed by the administration of the MU "Vodokanal Uzhgorod", after the severe frosts this winter, sewage wells have begun to break down, which could lead to the collapse of the road surface.

This water supply branch was built back in 1930s, in 1950s the wells were lined with bricks and covered with asphalt, and they did not survive the recent frost. Now, the utility workers are raising the wells, putting new concrete slabs and fixing up everything.

Despite the adverse weather conditions, the works are expected to be completed today. After that, vehicular traffic on this street will be resumed – the press service of Uzhgorod city council informs
