According to the head of the Uzhgorod shelter "Barbos" Irina Azizian, within just a month of photo shoots, 13 animals were adopted, which is a record figure. "Apparently, it’s because people see that these are not just dirty, homeless animals. Not in that classical sense, as many people think of them. They see that these animals are held by rescuers, that these are beautiful, well-groomed animals, which can be adopted," – Irina Azizian said.
Rescuers add that at first they were skeptical about the project, but when they were holding the animals, it put smiles on their faces. "Now they take care about the animals they were photographed with, ask about their lives" – the press officer of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region Natalia Batyr says.
This charity campaign "Amazing Animals from Rescuers" has already been continued in Kirovohrad, Mykolayiv and Poltava regions.
Recall that the campaign was initiated by the Transcarpathian rescuers, who made a photosession with homeless animals. You can see the photos HERE.
