An attempt to import goods from China in violation of the customs rules was prevented at the customs post "Tisa" of the Transcarpathian Customs.
According to the SFS in Transcarpathian region, under the shipping documents presented by the driver for customs control, "consumer goods" at total value of more than USD 129 thousand were being imported into Ukraine.
The seller and the forwarder of the goods was a Chinese company, and the buyer and the consignee was a Ukrainian LLC from the city of Dnipro.
During the customs control of the vehicle and the goods, employees of the Transcarpathian Customs found discrepancies between the goods declared in the shipping documents and those being actually imported in terms of description, quantity and value.
"In particular, customs officers found undeclared goods: women’s denim jackets of different sizes and trademarks; costume jewelry; headband; zippers; watches; rolls of net of different sizes and colors. The total amount of undeclared goods is 18761 pieces, the estimated cost is UAH 3 million. Thus, the entrepreneur committed actions aimed at moving goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealing them from customs control by submitting the customs authority documents containing false information about the description, quantity, and value," – the statement reads.
These actions contain signs of violation of customs regulations under part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. The report on the violation of customs rules was drawn up, the goods were seized unti a court decision.
