Three checkpoints in Transcarpathia are on the priority list of infrastructure development for the next year

The head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine Maxim Nefyodov reported that on the official Facebook page, the Holos Karpat informed.

The day before, he presented a draft strategy for the development of the New Customs infrastructure. Among the checkpoints to be upgraded, there are three in Transcarpathian region:

– checkpoint "Uzhgorod",

– checkpoint "Tisa",

– checkpoint "Luzhanka".

“It’s as simple as that, in order to get rid of the queues, ensure clean toilets and security at the border, we need to invest into infrastructure. We need to renovate and build checkpoints, buy and run scanners, scales and integrated video surveillance systems. And, most importantly, it should be done systematically – creating a bank of projects, ranking them by priority and building a specific infrastructure facilities, rather than painting individual walls,” – the post reads.
