This week will be very eventful fot the X International Youth Festival of Organ Music, which is currently taking place in the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic – there will be three concert programs for music fans with the participation of both local musicians and foreign guests. In particular, on September 18, students of the F. Liszt Music Academy Tuzes Marcel Shamuel and Gainocki Bence (organ, Budapest), Olga CHUNDAK (organ, Uzhgorod) and the Philharmonic Brass Orchestra will perform on the main stage of the region.
Both Hungarian guests are students of the Master’s Department in the class of famous teacher, Laszlo Fosong. In addition, Marcel Shamuel Tuzes works at the St. Janos Church as organist and concertmaster of the choir, collaborates with the "Handel-Trio" Chamber Orchestra, participated in an organ tour of Germany. And Bence Gainocky attended summer organ improvisation academies in France and numerous master classes from world-renowned organists.
As for Olga Chundak, she is a laureate and diploma winner of many international and national competitions. She graduated from the Uzhgorod Branch of the Donetsk State Musical Academy as a pianist and organist.
The Brass Orchestra of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic is a collective that is open to any creative experiments and is widely popular among the local public. The orchestra has presented many original programs. The repertoire of the collective consists of works by classical composers, interpretation of folk songs, modern pop and jazz music. The director is Honored Artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Spivak.
The participants will perform works by JS Bach, GF Handel, F.Liszt, L.Vierren, Vidor, the famous "Death Dance" by K.Sen-Saens and the composition "O Fortuna" from the stage cantata "Carmina Burana" by K. Orf. The concert will be hosted by musicologist Natalia Pitsur. The beginning is at 18.30.
