Third level of avalanche hazard has been announced in the Carpathians.

On February 3 and 4, due to thaws and precipitation, a significant avalanche hazard of the third level is expected in the mountains of Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions. This was reported by the press center of the Rescue Service with reference to weather forecasters.
Thus, in the mountainous districts of the eastern part of Transcarpathian region, there is a danger of snow sliding on the roads.
At the same time, the rescuers reminded that on January 30, around 17:00, near the village of Dilove in Rakhiv district of Transcarpathian region, on 153rd km of the motorway Mukachevo-Rohatyn-Lviv, there was an avalanche of 80 cubic meters, which blocked traffic across the entire roadway. Nobody was killed or injured as a result of the accident.

It should be noted that there is an interactive map based on Google Maps in the Internet, where all the huts and tourist shelters in the Carpathians are marked. This resource can be useful to tourists who have got lost in the mountains and are looking for a place for stay for the night.
