There will be no more objects of outdoor advertising (billboards, prismavision displays, back-lights) around B.Khmelnitsky and Druzhby Narodiv squares. The decision was adopted today by the executive committee members. According to it, business entities must dismantle the advertising designs by June 1, 2016.
As noted, a significant amount of advertising objects installed at such locations distract drivers’ attention for a few seconds from the road situation and negatively affect the perception of traffic regulation means by drivers, increase the reaction time while driving, which in turn creates the preconditions for accidents.
In addition, a significant concentration of advertising designs in these locations distorts the appearance of the urban environment and creates a sense of cluttering. It was noted that the correct placement of advertising near motorways significantly affects road safety, the possibility of high-quality technical and sanitary maintenance of roads and the quality of services provided to road users. – this is stated on the official website of Uzhgorod city council
