There is no polio in Transcarpathia. This was announced today, during a meeting with journalists by the Acting Head of the Health Care Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Tetyana Mitsyo. For several days, a special commission of the World Health Organization (WHO) has been examining the polio situation in the region, monitoring the incidents that caused suspicion.
However, only this morning the experts reported that there is no polio in the region.
The experts did not give any other comments citing that they were not recommended to talk with the press.
