The Vodokanal needs 256 million hryvnias. No less

Reporting to the Executive Committee, the Director of Uzhgorod water utility Yuriy Omelyanenko said that a few millions would not help the company to overcome the crisis.

Thus, according to him, in 2005, the French company carried out extensive research on how to rectify Ukrainian water utilities and bring them to the level of effective work, including financially. So it was calculated that Uzhgorod Vodokanal needs 256 million, and Kharkiv water utility – over 8 billion hryvnias. Now, at the executive committee meeting, they are talking about debts and reduction of water consumption.
