The trees in the linden alley in Uzhgorod may be cut

Lindens on Nezalezhnist embankment should be cut – so that they do not threaten linguistic gymnasium. The information about this was published in the newspaper "Uzhgorod".

The article contains the commentary of the director of Uzhgorod linguistic gymnasium Mykhailo Mehesh, who says that the staff of the school, along with parents asked the city government to trim old lindens – so that falling branches would not threaten the buildings, students and passers-by.

As you know, the reconstruction of the hundred-year-old school building is being performed now.

Along with repair of the facilities, they should also work with trees – the newspaper of the City Hall states. According to the director of the gymnasium, branches even overshadow the light in the classrooms, and he believes that lindens shoul be trimmed not only near the school but also on the entire embankment.  

Obviously, such a statement, published in the "Uzhgorod" is the city government’s preparation to the tree cutting in the linden alley. Let’s hope that the works will be coordinated with experts and lindens will not be too affected by pruning and will not lose their beauty.      

According to information provided to uzhgorod.in by the first deputy mayor Vitaly Semal, in the city there are 341 trees, designated as dangerous by the special commission.
