The Transcarpathian Customs refutes the false information being spread in some media outlets

The process of legalization of cars with foreign registration shows positive results, as evidenced by the number of cars that have been cleared and revenues to the budget. Thus, since the enactment of the Law, the Transcarpathian Customs has cleared almost 9.5 thousand vehicles and transferred almost UAH 600 million to the state treasury.

However, not everyone is satisfied with these results, many unscrupulous citizens, who made money on import and sale of cars with foreign registration in Ukraine, are now spreading false information. Some media report that customs officers refuse to accept certificates on repairs of cars with foreign registration and that the customs interferes with the work of customs brokers. We officially declare that employees of the Transcarpathian Customs act on the basis and in the manner provided by the Constitution, the Customs Code and the laws of Ukraine. The certificates are accepted by customs officials in accordance with the procedure provided for by law.

Transcarpathian customs in no way interferes with the work of brokers, does not give them any instructions or demand from them anything that is not required by the law. In addition, the administration of the customs did not give officials any instructions on unlawful actions, – Andriy Karashchenko, the deputy head of the Transcarpathian Customs said.

The assumptions or the so-called "insider information" is not true, and such statements and the dissemination of false information may have the purpose of disrupting the customs clearance process and destabilizing the social situation in the region. Therefore, the Transcarpathian Customs asks journalists not to spread fake information and report any evidence to law enforcement agencies. SFS in Transcarpathian region
