A high-profile inicdent occurred on Ukraine-Romanian border. Romanian police arrested 24-year-old Mykhailo Yovdiy, who along with his 23-year-old wife Olena Yovdiy, had imported into the territory of the EU 400 thousand dollars in cash hidden under the spare tire of his "Maserati."

The money was hidden from the mandatory declaration. As you know, Mykhailo Yovdiy is the son of former head of Tyachiv DSA Vasyl Yovdiy.
The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal instructed law enforcement agencies to find out how customs officers of the checkpoint "Solotvyno" let the "Maserati" of the former official’s son cross the border. According to the governor, Yovdiy’s 400 thousand dollars may be confiscated to the Romanian budget.
