The "Servant of the People" party stated that they plan to contest the election results in 10 constituencies, including the one where the People’s Deputy of the 8th convocation Viktor Baloha won. He says he does not mind the vote recount, but it should be under certain conditions – the UP informs.
The relevant statements by the political party and the People’s Deputy were posted on Facebook.
"We are planning to contest the election results in the 10 constituencies where the biggest violations during the vote were detected! Although bribery of voters was detected in more than 30 constituencies, however, it could have affected the results of voting only in 10 of those," – the statement reads.
In particular, the party wants to recount votes in Transcarpathian region in the 69th constituency, where, according to the Central Election Commission, Viktor Baloha won.
According to representatives of the "Servant of the People", many violations and mass bribery of voters were detected there.
In turn, Baloha said that he does not mind the recount of votes.
"If they want to recount – let’s recount. But all the votes, at all polling stations in the district. So that nobody ever doubt the choice of Transcarpathians. And let the results be established by the commissions in which my opponents have the majority, and not the courts," – he said.
The People’s Deputy claims that he does not know about any violations that allegedly took place in his district and which could be the graounds for appealing the results in court.
Recall that Viktor Baloha received just 1.34% more votes than the candidate from the "Servant of the People" Edgar Tokar.
