"Sakura Moment" is the title of the exhibition of paintings by young Uzhgorod artists and the only woman – an artist from Kamyanets-Podilsky – in the "Diptych" gallery on Koryatovich st., 5 in Uzhgorod. In the small room, everything is in bloom now, although only in the paintings. It’s beautiful, the only thing that’s missing is the smell of the sakura…
This art event was preceeded by a three-day plein air, which artists Yaroslav Dulenko, Vasyl Kohutych, Oleksa Dynnyk, Oleksiy Fedor, Petro Svalyavchyk, Vasyl Kadar, Roman Pylyp and Anastasia Boyarska dedicated to cherry blossom in Uzhgorod. They were painting on the streets and in the gardens of the city. In short, the exhibition is the result of the plein air and a kind of report to Uzhgorod viewers on the work performed.
The pink beauty was perpetuated in the paintings for those, who have not had a chance to see it in reality. Sakura blossom has almost faded, so the gallery can serve as a… photozone (daily except weekends from 10.00 to 18.00). Although the vernissage guests we enthusiastically taking pictures of flowering paintings on the opening day.
