The issue of the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Office in Transcarpathian region was considered at the regular session of the Regional Council.
Yuriy Svitlyk, the activist of Uzhgorod Euromaidan noted that Transcarpathians want an open competition for the position of the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Office to be held in Transcarpathian region. Such practices are organized in Volyn, Lviv, Vinnytsia regions, etc. – Mukachevo.net reported.
That is why they asked the regional council to support the appeal with the appropriate initiative to the Minister of Internal Affairs Avakov.
As for Mr. Sharanych, Ivan Baloha suggested deputies to prepare a document based on the appeal of the lustration committee and to show their position by voting. Deputies, however, opposed this initiative, and deputy Hrytsyk defended Serhiy Sharanych. 48 deputies supported the proposition, and therefore it was not passed.
Mr. Sharanych, despite an invitation, did not show up at the session.
The proposition of deputy Popovich to vote for their support to Sharanych was supported by two deputies.
The proposition of Svitlyk to organize an open competition was supported by only 52 deputies. During the repeated voting for an open letter to the Minister Avakov on an open competition, only 50 deputies voted for it. The rest did not vote.
Finally, they decided not to consider the issue any more.
