A group of drug dealers were arrested in Transcarpathia as a result of a special operation.
During the arrest, one of the offenders resisted the police. To stop his vehicle, the police used firearms. Nobody was injured. The investigation continues, the press service of the Transcarpathian police informed.
The Department for Combating Drug Crimes under the procedural control of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of the Western region of Ukraine, today, July 18, conducted a special operation in Transcarpathian region to detain members of an organized group of drug dealers.
It was established that the members of the group for a long time had been engaged in the manufacture and supply of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in particularly large amounts both in the region and beyond.
A large batch of narcotic drugs, as well as firearms and cold weapons were seized from the detainees.
During the detention, one of the offenders resisted the police. Therefore, the police officers were forced to use firearms to stop his vehicle. Nobody was injuried.
All group members were detained. The choice of pre-trial restraint in the form of detention is currently being decided. The investigation continues.
