The project “Discover Uzhgorod” now “speaks” English

From now on, not only domestic tourists, but also guests from abroad can get to know Uzhgorod while walking in the city. The project "Unique tourist routes "Discover Uzhgorod" in interactive postcards with audio guides" has been translated into English. It includes both the postcards with routes, which are bundled into a souvenir set, and the audio guides, which are uploaded to the izi.travel platform.
“The izi.travel platform is international. Therefore, most of its 500 thousand strong audience are foreigners. In this regard, we have never doubted that we should also make an English version. After all, it is important for us to let as many people as possible learn about Uzhgorod. Especially since before that there were many Ukrainian cities on the platform, but Uzhgorod, unfortunately, was not among them,” – the project manager Lyudmila Syuzeva explained.
The project started in June. It is implemented with the financial support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. The routes were developed by eight well-known guides Tetyana Literati, Vladislav Tovtyn, Yuriy Slavik, Yuriy Yanovsky, Pavlo Khudish, Yulianna Malik, Natalia Svitlynets, Oleksandr Shershun. The team also included known Uzhgorod illustrator Olena Buhrenkova.
The presented information is easy to understand and will be of interest to both children and adults. Bright and unusual postcards are bundled in a beautiful gift set. Each postcard is a historical guide to the monuments of cultural and architectural heritage of ancient Uzhgorod with interesting questions and tasks.
