The police detained a Transcarpathian, who had robbed a tourist school bus

The criminal police arrested a 39-year-old resident of Mukachevo, who had stolen mobile phones and money from a school bus. The victims were three tourists – students of Lviv school.

 

The statement about the theft of mobile phones and money was filed with Mukachevo police by a teacher of Lviv school. The woman reported that she and the students had come to Mukachevo for a trip. While the children were walking downtown, somebody stolen two mobile phones and 150 UAH from the bus, where students had left their personal items.

Officers of criminal police, having conducted a series of search operations, found out that the theft had been committed by a 39-year-old previously repeatedly convicted resident of Mukachevo. The man opened the window on the school bus, got inside and started fumbling and searching the bags of the students. Three students became the victims of his crime.

The evidence was removed. Criminal proceeding over the theft was opened under Part 1 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The suspect faces a fine of up to fifty free minimum incomes, or correctional labor for up to two years, or imprisonment for up to three years.
