An Uzhgorod resident stole money and computer equipment from the apartment of a resident of the regional center. The thief was quickly detained. Police opened a criminal proceeding over the theft, the investigation is ongoing.
A theft from an apartment in the regional center was quickly solved by officers of the Uzhgorod Criminal Police. The victims reported to the police that foreign currency and a laptop had been stolen from their apartment in Uzhgorod. In the course of the search measures, the police detained a suspect in this theft. He was a 55-year-old resident of Uzhgorod, who was previously convicted of a crime against life and health of a person.
The police found out that the thief had broken into the appartment by picking the lock, and stolen the victims’ property from there.
Investigators of the Uzhgorod Police Department opened a criminal proceeding under Part 3 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, theft, combined with breaking and entering. The pre-trial investigation in the case continues.
