The police caught a man who robbing houses in Uzhgorod

Officers of the Uzhgorod Police Department caught a 32-year-old resident of the Transcarpathian regional center, who is suspected of burglaries. 
Uzhgorod Police Department received two similar reports about night burglaries. One of them was about breaking into a private home through the window.

The unknown man removed the mosquito net, got into the room and took the golden jewelry from the drawer. In another statement it was said that someone got into the apartment through an open balcony and stole 30 thousand hryvnia worth of property.

The police found out that in both cases the same person was involved in the thefts – a 32-year-old resident of Uzhgorod, who had already been prosecuted for a property crime. 

The man confessed to the crime, some of the stolen things were seized from him. The choice of a preventive measure is being decided. Criminal proceedings were commenced over both incidents under Part 3 of Art. 185 of the Criminal Code, ie burglary. Such an offense is punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to six years.

The investigation is ongoing, the police are investigating the possibility of the involvement of the suspect in other similar crimes.
