The Patrol Police of Transcarpathia wishes you safe trips

Ice cover is on the most roads in Transcarpathian region, the Patrol Police of Transcarpathia reported.

Forecasters warn that the deterioration of weather conditions will last from 5 to 7 of January.
“Dear drivers, snow and ice cover warrant special care on the road! We urge all drivers to be very careful and cautious and strictly adhere to traffic rules when weather conditions are difficult ☝️
Of course, if possible, it is better to avoid traveling by car over long distances, but if it is not possible, do not forget the need to:
– maintain safe speed and distance;
– avoid risky maneuvers;
– reduce speed when approaching pedestrian crossings, as well as child care facilities;
– increase the distance between cars;
– during heavy weather, switch on fog lights (if provided by vehicle design);
– turn on emergency light signals when stopping;
– use passive safety equipment for both adults and children;
– take special care driving on bridges, overpasses and on ascents and descents.
