The Parliament introduced a fine for “lies” in the income tax returns

The Parliament introduced a fine up to 500 tax-free minimum incomes (8,500 UAH) for indicating false information in the property and income tax returns.

289 deputies voted for the relevant bill number 4556.

However, the text, prepared by the relevant committee considering amendments of MPs, is missing on the official website of the Parliament.

According to the text of the bill passed in the first reading, the law will amend a number of legislative acts in the field of state anti-corruption policy in connection with the Plan of Action for the liberalization of the EU visa regime for Ukraine.

In particular, the Code of Administrative Offences will have the provision, according to which the official is subjected to a fine of 150 to 500 tax-free minimum incomes (2,550 to 8,500 UAH) for indicating false information in the income tax returns.
