The Parliament allowed importing body armor and helmets free of duty and taxes

The Parliament abolished the import duty and VAT for PPE.

261 MPs voted for this decision – the Ukrainska Pravda informed.

Thus, for the time of the ATO or the introduction of martial law, transactions of the import into the customs territory of Ukraine and the supply of helmets, body armor in the customs territory of Ukraine shall be exempt from value added tax.

In addition, medicines and medical devices designed to provide medical aid to persons, who have suffered injury, concussion or other harm to health during the period of the ATO or the introduction of martial law in accordance with the laws, shall be exempt from VAT.

In addition, 262 deputies supported the bill, which abolishes import duties on personal protection equipment.

When importing into the customs territory of Ukraine or exporting abroad, special personal protective equipment imported into the customs territory of Ukraine during the antiterrorist operation shall be exempt from taxation.
