On April 14, at 19.00, the concert of the National Academic Hutsul Song and Dance Ensemble "Hutsuliya" will take place on the stage of the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonics. The famous ensemble from Ivano-Frankivsk, which is called "the pride of Ukraine", will perform in Uzhgorod for the first time.
Notably, the ensemble was founded back in 1939 by the famous composer and community activist Yaroslav Barnych, who in the interwar period was heading the orchestra of the Ukrainian theater in Transcarpathia.
The repertoir of the ensemble includes the whole palette of Hutsul song and dance heritage. And the costumes of the artists are not just stage costumes but real works of folk art that capture the imagination of the viewer. The ensemble will come to Uzhgorod in full force, and that is 60 artists, – the organizers inform.
"Transcarpathian nightingale", People’s Artist of Ukraine Ivan Popovich will also take part in the landmark concert.
