The National Commission does not see a possibility of reducing tariffs for gas

The National Commission sees no possibility of reducing gas prices for the population.

This was stated by the head of the regulator Dmytro Vovk before the meeting of the Cabinet on Wednesday, the "Interfax-Ukraine" reported.

"We at the National Commission do not see any sources to optimize the prices," – he said.

According to Vovk, "if you take the price of gas purchased in Europe, multiply it by the dollar exchange rate and add all the necessary taxes, the resulting price will be higher than the highest price of gas for the population."

Vovk pointed out several initiatives, that could lead to the optimization of heat tariffs for the population, while there are not such opportunities for gas.
