He said that during a briefing on July 3, answering questions about the tightening of quarantine if there are 60 active patients per 100 thousand inhabitants in the country, as previously stated by the Ministry of Health.
According to him, as of the morning of July 3, the incidence rate in Ukraine is 59.7 active patients per 100 thousand inhabitants, but the 60 patients indicator was considered only to make decisions on the External Independent Testing and was calculated as of June 22.
According to the Ministry of Health, as of July 2, the coronavirus incidence indicators are exceeded in Kyiv, Volyn, Donetsk, Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Rivne, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky and Chernivtsi regions. Chernihiv region cannot relax quarantine due to the low number of coronavirus tests.
In addition, Stepanov said that on July 2, the National Medical Council was established, which includes the best doctors of various specialties and from various hospitals in the country. According to him, all issues related to the further implementation of medical reform will be agreed with the representatives of the Medical Council.
