In Kyiv Court of Appeal, there was a hearing on the representative of the "Right Sector" Serhiy Deyak, who had voluntarily surrendered to law enforcement officers after the shooting in Mukachevo.
Despite the fact that Deyak had voluntarily surrendered to law enforcement and not resisted during the arrest, the court nevertheless decided to impose on him a pre-trial restarint in the form of detention.
"Serhiy admitted in court that he had come on that day to meet with the deputy Lanyo to fight corruption. By the way, he is one of the four people detained on suspicion of committing a terrorist act in Mukachevo on July 11," – it is said in a statement.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on July 11, there was a shooting in Mukachevo. According to local media, the conflict arose between members of the "Right Sector" and people from the entourage of MP Lanyo. According to representatives of the "RS", Lanyo himself invited them to negotiations as the "RS" was interfering with flows of contraband.
The criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Art. 255 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (the creation of a criminal organization) and Part 3 of Art. 258 (terrorist act) was opened.
