On February 11, 2017, from 14.00 to 17.00, the public conversation with the photographer Mykhailo Palinchak "Photography as a document" will take palce in the wine cellar "Owl’s Nest", the educational platform Nomen announces.
The conversation will consist of two parts. During the first one, we will talk about the place of photography in contemporary culture, the phenomenon of nostalgia, analyze features of human perception, documentary photography in general, and review the most interesting documentary series of photographs taken in Transcarpathia, including those which, according to our speaker, nobody has seen yet.
The second part of the meeting will be especially interesting for photographers and reporters. However, since it will not be just about the technical aspects of photography, the information will be accessible to a wider audience.
The second part will mostly be dedicated to creating documentary stories – from personal to the geopolitical and why you do not have to leave Transcarpathia in order to make a global photo project.
