Moreover, instead of the promised 10 thousand doses, Transcarpathia will receive only 2 thousand
In early February, the measles incidence in Transcarpathian region drastically decreased. While in January doctors recorded 40 to 45 new cases every day, now there are 20-25.
– In all districts, vaccination is carried out using the vaccines against measles, which the region received at the end of January as a humanitarian aid from Hungary, – Hennadiy Moskal says. – The region has not received the 10,000 doses of the vaccine promised by the Ministry of Health (MOH), moreover, according to the adjusted plans, Transcarpathia, instead of 10 thousand doses, will receive only 2 thousand.
It is unknown when these 2,000 doses will arrive.
Currently, the quarantine for measles and acute respiratory viral infections is in place in Tyachiv, Beregovo, Irshava and Rakhiv districts of the region, as well as in the cities of Beregovo, Tyachiv and Mukachevo.
