The Law on Employment offers additional benefits for disadvantaged unemployed, but leaves the same quota.
As of January 1, all companies begin to work according to the new law on employment. This is reported by the Kommersant-Ukraine.
According to this document, the following groups will be entitled to guaranteed employment: young people who graduated; orphans; father who brings up a child under 14 or a disabled child, persons released after serving their sentences or forced treatment. People with disabilities retain employment guarantees only until the retirement age. The total quota for employment of these groups of citizens at the companies remains the same – 5% of the staff (of more than 20 people). If the employer does not fulfill the quota, he faces a fine of double the amount of the minimum wage.
Also the law provides for a lump sum for unemployed to open their own business. But if the created company dissolves two years later, then the owner can not claim to reopen the business at the expense of the state. Citizens over 45 years, the insurance period of whom is at least 15 years, can qualify for a voucher for education in professions and specialties of priority economic activities. The amount of the voucher shall not exceed 10 times minimum subsistence level for able-bodied (11,000 UAH).
