They presented the investment project of the corporation for a significant expansion of the production in Uzhgorod district, which includes construction of new facilities and the employment of several thousand people. The total amount of funds to be invested by the corporation during three years is $ 55 million. Currently, it is the largest investment project in Ukraine. By the year-end, they will build another plant, and the total number of employees will be increased from the current 2 to 4.5 – 5 thousand.
Over the next three years, the corporation will be hiring one thousand new workers annualy, so it should be taken into account in the training of professional technical and engineering personnel in Transcarpathia. H. Moskal instructed the Department of Education to discuss this matter with heads of vocational schools and higher educational institutions of the region and make necessary adjustments to the training programs. In addition, H. Moskal warned law enforcement and control authorities (in particular regional offices of central institutions that are not subordinate to the RSA) against possible unjustifiable obstacles to the project:
For reference: "Jabil" Inc. is the third world electronics manufacturer with an annual turnover of 18 billion dollars. About 80 thousand people are employed at the enterprises of the Corporation (which is 102 plants around the world).
